Alan Partridge

3

Just finished his autobiography. Absolutely hilarious in parts and very loyal to the stories in I'm Alan Partridge and KMKY. I read the ebook but the audiobook is actually read by the man himself which would add another dimension to it. Ill probably get round to listening to all 6 hours some day. Check it out.

love the episode where he thows the leaving bash in his room, michael is hammered and the other racist guest

1 |

That laughing gimp was one of the best characters. Kicked out of Partridge's wee party and all.

The section inside Norwich City Council about the proposed carpark taxes is utterly brilliant.
"DEADLOCK!"

Alan's face in the lift when the gimp is doing that awkward laugh is just priceless.

Haha. You can see him grinding his teeth at one point

0 |

Haha. Your man and Mark Heap are probably the best 2 comedy actors I've seen.

Partridge is king, everything apart from alpha papa I love.
One of the funniest experiences of my life was meeting him in character still half cut from the night before in waterstones Piccadilly for the I, Partridge book launch-he read exerts from the book and did a 15 min chat in true partridge fashion.
Crying laughing the whole time, shook his hand, got my book signed and spoke to the man himself.
Amazing:)

Citizens Kahn is a bad and patronizing attempt at normalizing Islam in British culture too. Never seen Friday night tv before. HIGNY on now. Paul Merton still picking up a wage off us.

'The screening of Mid Morning Matters on Sky Atlantic sees the coming together of two powerful ideas: Sky ('Believe in Better’) and Alan Partridge (‘Be the Best’). Two compelling brands with two equally valid mission statements, although if we’re being honest ‘believing in better’ isn’t as impressive as ‘being the best’. (‘Being' feels more emphatic than just ‘believing' while the ‘best' is by definition one up from ‘better’). I’m not going to get into a debate about it though. That’s part of what 'being the best' is. Thank you for your time and I urge you to enjoy the series.' – Alan Partridge

Reminds me of his audiobook. Greatness

"Ohhh Jamie, guess who's big on the back time"

1 |

Haha. Loved that bit. Called round to everybodys house.

Have you noticed he always says, "my assistant" and never Lynn?

1 |

Yeah! It's typical though. He doesn't think she's worth a mention.

Im at the part where hes just about to set off in the footsteps of his father.

His description of the logo he wanted was all forms of greatness

I'm only about a third of the way through the audiobook, doesn't seem to be as high quality as the first one so far.

Although I did snort loudly on public transport at the bit about someone filling the kettle up from the sink in the bogs.

1 |

"My child is dropping a hat for save the children." "OF COURSE HE IS! HE IS ONE!" haha

Have any of youz got the new audiobook yet? I take it it's Alan reading it again?

1 |

Im listening now. It is him again.
