Bitcoin/Litecoin etc

Original thread gone?

Bitcoin back on the up today after a couple of days with very little movement.

Litecoin doing well still but down today a bit. It really needs gox to announce a date for thier trading engine to open, kinda in limbo at the mo it would seem

@leanne I havent looked into desktop/offline wallet software, is that something you are looking into?

I'm not convinced of this LTC explosion when it goes on Gox, every cunt and their da is seemingly ready to sell into it but I don't know who people are expecting to be doing the buying. Gonna be a bumpy ride I think :)

Any banter with these at the mo?

need to deposit some cash for bitcoins for a usenet indexing site, blockchain doesn't seem to allow UK deposits anymore, which site is safest for UK residents

Price has been quite healthy the last wee while, over $100.

0 |

Shit. That's pretty big, isn't it??

0 |

Fuckers trying to put an end to online currencies?

0 |

they mentioned you by name on the news Neil, get your "go" bag and bunker up somewhere*

*that sounded full homo

Maybe they are trying to make sure the people running the Enterprise aren't operating a giant ponzi scheme or some huge child porn ring unwittingly funded by early adopters...

Or do we just take them at their word that their dead on because their not in government?

0 |

Well the current price is as high as it's been since the bubble burst so this news doesn't seem to be having much of an effect. I don't have any now anyway... though still have funds in Gox so could jump back in for teh lulz

Take them at their word and throw money at them, Pav.

#YOLO etc

that's excellent... we knew you'd agree.... the companies will be very pleased

0 |

its google and friends going in for a chat basically

0 |

Nah, hopefully that's all it is. Imagine they were just harvesting shit loads of money though. Biggest scam in history??

0 |

sorry...

Biggest non governmental scam in history??

0 |

As if the banks are the pinnacle of morals, for christsake.

0 |

has anyone said that ever?

0 |

My point being that it's not as if government regulation stops the banks at this time. HSBC were eventually caught out laundering for mexican drug cartels and a host of other scandals that just get swept under the carpet. This is a move to close them down. Lets hope they've kept their noses clean, though! I wouldn't get involved until i do see that they are backed up properly, mind.

just look at the amount of shit JPM have got into in the past few years:
www.rollingstone.com/p...

some list when you read through it all.

0 |

I'd say regulation is to lax anyway and enforcement/ gunishment needs cranked up... but then, Iwould...

looks like a nice read RP...I'll save that for coffee tomo

0 |

Used to work for JPM. Remember their name coming up over and over again in every scandal going. None of it ever mentioned internally.

wool pulled over your eyes, gherkin?

0 |

what ever happened with that silver manipulation investigation?

0 |

Silver manipulation? Manipulation of the whole financial system, more like. It's all a scam.

With the right backers, why not? The people making the moves would need to watch their backs, though. Tussling with the big boys who start wars and collapse nations for fun.

Anyone else find it funny that Silk Road went down the same day as the US Govt. shutdown?

0 |

Coincidence, obvs

0 |

plenty of activity in last few days, BTC back to $200 and holding (for now). LTC on the move as well after a dip/sell off

0 |

thats the best price ive seen in a long time, hopefully they will continue on the up from now on.

0 |

Seemingly a reaction to the Chinese exchanges adoption of ltc. Either that or the usual hysterical crypto roller coaster troll fest :)

0 |

just hit $210 and over $3 per LTC- great to see some positive activity on these again

0 |

Wow at 240 now I'm itching to sell after the slump it's been in but I have to hold on for the long run - been the first time in mths I've been this interested again

0 |
