A independent NI... feasible given our wealth of natural resources

Good to see blair get in early with an attack on corbyn... just what labour needs to be doing now while the tories fight a leadership contest....

we are on the cusp of dvmc's socialist nirvana, I can feel it in my bones

1 |

What natural resources? Tyrone bog peat?

1 |

Sorry, Peat Bog

Europe will help fund the reunification of Ireland while they help fund Scottish Independence also. After the initial shock this is now alright. Little Englanders retreating into their own bubble helped by dafties all around GB, such fans of that little England they were prepared to break up the Union.
A momentus day.

This was primarily a vote against intellectualism. Dumb working class people from Sunderland ousting an organisation which they were one of the highest beneficiaries of. Stupid cunts.
Great opportunity now for Scotland & Ireland & the EU to map something out.

Sturgeon already putting a 2nd Indy Ref in the table. Today I can say with pride why I voted to Leave.
Forza the re-drawing of these Islands and a better stronger Europe.

0 |

The progressive option now is certainly to move to more independence from those that seek to rule us in England. If that's a border poll so be it. It's made up my mind as to what way I would vote. I don't see my interests being served by the insular dynamics infesting England at the minute

0 |

An exercise in English Nationalism and a reaction to intellectualism hahaha. How the fuck did this happen.

0 |

Would be amusing if the border poll did take us out of the UK... putting RJ firmly back into europe again.lol.

maybe this new little England government will give us a big payment to join with Scotland & Ireland and the EU.

Morgan Stanley is said to move 2000 jobs from London to Dublin or Frankfurt

0 |

Is this the same RP that couldn't fathom how a Brexit vote might hasten a United Ireland

0 |

The IFSE in dublin is going to gain big time from this tbh.

0 |

Ireland will become England in relation to foreign investment and that. Listening to RTE radio today, few economists were giddy about that.

Does the Bosman ruling now redundant?

McClean definitely needs a personal advisor what an idiot.

Calls for Corbyn to stand down.

It's all gone Pete Tong

All these things were a cert. Cameron leaves, Boris in, Scottish referendum, SF call for border pole and the deluded dup think they've won.

"A woman who voted to Leave the European Union on Thursday has said that she is "very disappointed" by the results.

The woman, identified only as Mandy, spoke at Manchester Airport, saying that "reality" has now hit her and that given her chance again she would vote to remain.

The student said her decision was due to "the pressure of being told" by the two competing sides who she should vote for.

dufunk, why exactly is McClean an idiot for posting that picture?

0 |

0 |

He should no by now to keep politics out of football esp when everyone is getting on so great at moment, nothing wrong with posting a pic of him and Marty but to sure it in a political agenda is embarrassing. You don't see Duffy or Gibson up to the non sense he gets up to there no getting away from it he is bitter.

0 |

He's probably just a bit ragin the Brits are getting all the attention at the minute with the referendum and all

0 |

So he's not allowed to have a political aspiration? wise up. he's doing fuck all wrong. says more about the people that he annoys tbf

1 |

Everyone wanting a United Ireland are bitter?

0 |

Imagine England won the euros also. I'd need to go live in a cabin with no access to UK media

0 |

Is McLean wanting a united Ireland any surprise lol he's hardly usually on the fence

0 |

I didn't say that, even I see pros to a united Ireland he on the other hand is obviously anti-British yet will live and earn big money in England probably never even live back in derry so what its matter to him. Im sure a lot of the other ROI lads have a good laugh at him they prob don't give a toss and are happy to play football and be professional. Just because your brought up in a Ghetto is no excuse, you look at Frampton and McIroy they care about bringing people together here and keep stability that's what you would expect from high profile personalities. McClean is stuck in the 70's.

"In 2001 Irish voters rejected the Treaty of Nice by 53.9%, with 34.8% of the electorate voting. At a SECOND REFERENDUM in 2002, statements on Ireland not having to join a common defence policy and affirming the right to decide on enhanced cooperation in the national parliament were stressed in a special document and they accepted the Treaty by 62.9% with 49.5% of the electorate voting."

Literally everything you said is bullshit. He's a well respected member of the Irish team, they were all at his wedding a few weeks back, the team captain Coleman is one of his best friends.
I could bet you my life he will return to live in Derry he is back every opportunity, he bought his ma a house in a fancy part of the city and she moved back into Creggan.
He's no different from Frampton or McIlroy, they make no secret they see themselves as British, he has every right to say what he says. In fact I think he deserves more credit for being honest about it.
People like yourself will demonise him because it suits you but when you look at the facts he's done nothing wrong

0 |

Social Media is for plebs and McClean falls right in there if not a pro football I'm sure he would be even more hardcore about his views. Frampton and McIlroy have done loads for both sets of the community and deserve to be applauded cant mention McClean in the same breath his views go out across the country and it sets a back dated negative outlook on things when young people from his community and derry esp want to move on from that crap nothing will change with people like that unlike other sports personalities who do try to change things.

0 |

He is what he is and there are many like, just so happens he is also a pro footballer. Pointless debating what he should and shouldn't be doing. Who cares, he's only some footballer, not some political figurehead or mascot for republicanism

0 |

Moving on from what crap? Lol. He wants a United Ireland.

You can't seem to accept his right to that aspiration

0 |

(Crap) Meaning the old orange and green. About teaching young ones we live in a modern society were that crap doesn't need to exist and we are all equal.
