This could spell the end for the SDLP. Sinn Fein will see a swing towards them in the next election because of brexit and if Fianna fail come north in 2019 as planned, they will squeeze them from the other side

0 |

People before profit all pushed for leave here as did any socialist party. Apparently labour voters took up a lot of the leave votes in England

Stupidity is widespread

0 |

Not one brexit supporter on my Facebook and I don't anyone who voted to leave so they must be too scundered to admit it

0 |

NIPSA voted to leave as well

Anything bad which happens to any of us from now on is officially dvmc's fault.

first call to Nolan on Brexit? "will this now get the fleg back up on city hall Sammy?"

1 |

The fact that no one knows what exactly the vote to leave will actually do is the most scary part, all these millions of people voted against proper known facts and figures and voted for a 'not sure what's next' move.

EU referendum: Nigel Farage disowns Vote Leave '£350m for the NHS' pledge hours after result

Nigel Farage has disowned a pledge to spend £350 million of European Union cash on the NHS after Brexit.

The Ukip leader was asked on ITV’s Good Morning Britain programme whether he would guarantee that the money pledged for the health service during the campaign would now be spent on it.

Speaking on the morning of the referendum result he however said he had never made any such pledge.

The time has come to unite the tayto men under one packet.

imagine the DUP were actually the cause of a United Ireland. Aul Paisley would be spinning so much in his grave we could use him to power the province.

Trump Calls Brexit Vote A 'Great Thing'

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has said the UK voting to leave the European Union is a "great thing".

Speaking as he arrived at his Trump Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire, Scotland, the tycoon gave a thumbs-up as he climbed out of a helicopter emblazoned with his name.

He said: "I think it's a great thing that's happened. It's an amazing vote, very historic.

"People are angry all over the world. They're angry over borders, they're angry over people coming into the country and taking over and nobody even knows who they are.

"They're angry about many, many things in the UK, the US and many other places. This will not be the last."

EU has been holding the uk's economy back this is a great move time to flourish!

"EU has been holding the uk's economy back this is a great move time to flourish!"...

In other words. We'll exploit workers even more now that we don't have those pesky employment rights laws to deal with. We'll also fuck people over when we don't have to abide by those pesky human rights laws.

0 |

That's sounds like a quote right out of the remain campaign! We will be able to look after our own people now staying in the EU would not see wages or benefits rise or hospital waiting lists go down.

0 |

Anyone here ever benefit from the EU study programmes? e.g
ERASMUS. Shame that'll be knocked on the head for future students

0 |

This ones on me, sorry lads.

0 |

Madness, but we shouldn't really be that shocked with referendums anymore, bookies and pollsters have been getting them wrong. 8/1 yesterday ffs wish i'd took a punt.

0 |

I feel frightened for the future. Did not see that coming.

0 |

ROI cant afford us at moment that's clear and with the EU as a whole going down the drain I'm sure there be even more uncertainty down south in up coming years for there economy. United Ireland isn't really any closer now is it?

Sort out our own shit and make this place sustainable and id vote for an independent NI no problem lol.

0 |

The old ROI couldn't afford us line.. didn't realise we were all moving down there and squatting up with the locals. would we in the north not pay our own taxes and help fund the entire island?

0 |

Didn't Ireland vote to leave the eu also then the government said nah and made everyone vote again?

If we combine will that not mean a greater chance of voting out again seeing as they'll have more assets?
